New Year, new work, new tea towels

This will be my last blog post for 2012 and I wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I think Christmas and New Year can be quite an emotional period, there always seems to be change at this time of year and new beginnings. So with a step closer to spring here is a peek at the new work I've been creating - soft pastel shades mainly in acrylics with a combination of little ladies and birds, I hope you like them.

 
When I've not been painting I've been having a nose around the sales. I like a good bargain but try to remind myself not to pick up things I don't need. So far I've picked up a new umbrella, some face cream and some cute cupcake tea towels, all things of course I don't know how I managed without! This cute little book is from the same collection as my tea towels, I got them from Paperchase.
 
 
I also must mention while I am here that I'm having 30% off everything in my etsy shop just now with coupon code JAN30. I think it will run into the first week of January. I should start to list some new work around this time too. You'll see from the first photo that I've found some mini canvases and have been having fun with these.

    Oh how I love Paperchase! I have a pencil case and a lunch box with the smiley face design on it. It makes a packed lunch such a happy experience!xx

      I was looking at the lunch boxes and cute little tubs when I was in, I was in there for ages, it really is great! A smile on your packed lunch sounds good to me xx
