Papergirl Manchester 2011

In October 2010 Papergirl made its UK debut in the streets of Manchester. Papergirl is an art project from Berlin which involves handing out small bundles of rolled up artwork from bicycles to passers by. There are no guidelines to the format of work submitted to the project so originals, prints, photos and photocopies all come together. A mix of work will go into each roll for delivery.

Last year I submitted six drawings to the project and this year I have four ready to be sent off. There will be an exhibition of work held before the artwork is distributed, this will take place in the Soup Kitchen, Manchester in May.

Papergirl Manchester - Help Japan Art Sale

The Help Japan Art Sale has been set up by Papergirl Manchester to raise money for the Red Cross tsunami appeal. Designers, illustrators and artists from all over are donating a mixture of items including prints, bags, artwork and t-shirts all of which will be available for sale at Common from the 31st March until the 3rd of April. Work will be for sale at affordable prices with every penny going to the charity.

The deadline for posting work in is the 25th of March and work can be handed in up to the 27th of March. I posted this drawing away this morning, nothing like leaving things until the last minute!
